Top 10 Turkish Cities in Export

Economical growth of Turkey, make it a proper destination for domestic and foreign investors. Izmir, Manisa and Denizli are cities succeed in exporting their products to other cities and countries.

According to the fluctuations in market of Turkey in 2014 and despite of decline in exchange rate during the second half of that year, the export of Ege area with 2.5% growth, increased to 18 billion and 725 million and 981 thousand dollars. In 2013, the record of export of Ege area as the starting point of export in Turkey, was 18 billion and 266 million and 696 thousand dollars. Therefore, Izmir, Manisa and Denizli succeed to get the first places of top 10 Turkish cities in export. In this case, Muğla with 20% draw many attentions in Ege area to itself.

On the base of data from Turkish Exporters Association and Ege Exporters Association, the province which had highest rank of export in Ege area with 8 billion and 942 million and 981 thousand dollars, was Izmir with 48%. In this regard and according to 198 countries Izmir exporting them, Germany with 1 billion and 161 million, America with 616 million and England with 582 million dollars, got the first to third rank.

Garments at the Top of Izmir Export

Along the growth of export in Izmir and other parts of industry, garments with 1 billion and 311 million and 917 thousand dollars, got the first rank. While garments in 2013 placed in second rank, in 2014 with 5% growth, reached to the first rank. Chemical products in compare with 2013, had 15% decrease and got the second place of expert. Steel with 803 million dollars export, place tin third rank.

Manisa in 2014, be able to increase the amount of its export to 7% (4 billion and 311 million dollars), and placed after Izmir. Highest rank of export of Manisa belonged to Germany, England and France in Electric-Electronic industry with 2 billion and 550 million dollars, with significant difference, got the first place. In infrastructure, Automotive Industry with 431 million dollars in second rank and Heating and Cooling Systems with 371 million dollars, was placed in third rank.

In this regard, the city of Denizli in 2014, which brought 3 billion and 199 million dollars foreign currency into Turkey, had 4% growth. The number of countries Denizli had export to them, was 172 and consisted of: England, America, Germany and …, respectively. Garments industry of this city with 1 billion and 230million dollars, was in the first place among its exports.

During the export in 2014, the city of Aydin, be able to take the place of Balikesir and sat in fourth place of the list. Aydin in 2014, had 596 million and 707 thousand dollars export and Balikesr, with 548 million and 210 thousand dollars and 12% decrease, got the fifth place. In this case, the exports of Afyon as a most important city in exporting natural stones and egg, had a stable trend and the amount of its export in 2013 was 361 million and in 2014, 358 million dollars.

Mugla Breaks the Record of Export Growth

In 2014, the city of Muğla could submit the highest record of export in Ege Area. While in 2013, this city succeeded to brought 255 million dollars foreign currency interest to Turkey, in 2014, with 20% growth, increased this number to 306 million dollars. During a year, Kutahaya with 194 million dollars and after Usak, with its 4% export growth (from 258 to 268 million dollars), find a place in this list.
